Cold and foggy, with everything sopping wet. 2.1, dew 1.7, and the overnight low was also 2.1.

Yesterday's high, on a misty day, was 6.8 - a little below average.

The sun tried to break through the fog and mist this morning but failed. Currently 7.6c Winds variable light. All the spring flowers are coming up a good sign of a cold January…🙄

Unusually the far SE has been the coldest broad area in the UK today - temperatures during daylight hours were widely in the 2s down here, and IMBY it's varied from 1.7 to 2.6... currently 2.0, dew 1.6 and misty.

Given that 850s are currently +9 (!) that's quite an impressive inversion. Shame it's not going to last!
