-2.7c and clear.

Patchy snow cover remains especially wintry looking at the back where there are less man made surfaces.

This morning is starting off on a cold and frosty note once again with an official air frost at all three of my local stations but last night wasn't actually as cold as other recent nights with the temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank only dropping to a minimum of -2.0°C although the temperature at Edinburgh Airport did drop to around -5°C in the early hours of this morning before going up a bit once again.

There is also some cloud to my east which is likely to prevent us from being able to properly see this morning's sunrise although the skies are mostly clear apart from that and so, I'm still expecting to see plenty of sunshine later on.

Currently around -2°C here in Edinburgh.

Cold and sunny this morning after a low of -2.5°C. Most of the snow cover from Monday night remains.

Looks like everyone's had a frost apart from me! It's now 0.6, the min was 0.4, so it was a case of close, but no cigar.

Maybe tonight will be the night?

Heavy snow showers currently too but they soon go through, a light cover.

Last night's overnight minimum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank is officially confirmed as -2.2°C which isn't as low as it has been on other recent nights but the Sun is now shining here in Edinburgh as expected.

-4 C was the minimum here (after 2 nights of -5 C)

Frost on the ground now for 56 hours and sunny throughout, a fine spell of winter weather in late autumn

With a maximum temperature of 3.4°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, today wasn't quite as cold here as other recent days but the temperatures are dropping away more quickly than was the case last night and as I write, the temperature here in Edinburgh is currently around -1°C with an official air frost already being recorded at all three of my local stations once again.

The max was 1.7°C here with sunny spells and snow showers which have been more frequent this evening. There’s somewhere between two and three inches of level snow in the garden now. Less on the roads but they have previously been gritted and cleared.

Currently -0.1°C and snowing.

-1°C and a clear moonlit night. The lawn is still unbroken snow - tho' most has now gone from roofs and trees. Some shreds on cars.

Later - 06.45grs. Temps dropped to -3°C  and still bright and clear moonlight.

RAW would sum up the weather this morning. We have heavy driving rain with a strong ESE wind gusting towards 45mph. The temperature is currently 2.5c I would expect the moors and high ground to see some wet snow.

Unusual conditions today - overcast, with a westerly breeze, but also cold - just 0.2, dew -1.4. The overnight low was -0.1, so just scraped an official air frost, and a penetrating one at that due to the wind. Yesterday's high was 4.8, a genuinely cold day.

(Last year, FWIW, we only had 9 days with a max below 5C from the extended November to March winter period)

Mostly clear with a hard frost overnight and a low of -2.7c recorded at 6:15am, now up to -2.3c the breeze is obviously chilling too.

There's a lot more cloud around this morning but as per usual for here, there's absolutely nothing coming out of those clouds as has been the case throughout this most boring and uninteresting month on record.😡

There is some clear sky to my east and south though, so I should at least get to see the sunrise a bit later on unlike yesterday morning.

Last night's overnight minimum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank was -2.8°C and there is some frost around but the temperature has already risen to slightly above 0°C here in Edinburgh.

Just like the thing, the clear skies to my south have been filled in with cloud to my SE, so I didn't even get to see the sunrise this morning.😡

I've also noticed that the wind has picked up a bit as well over the last wee while.
