We actually reached 19 C today 🙂
Edinburgh, in the frost hollow below Blackford Hill
Same here John, a sunnier end to the day in the capital. However I'm keeping my eye on a line of potent thundery showers in SW Scotland moving NE 🤔

Currently around 15°C here in Hawick with a cooler and fresher feel compared to this time last night.
That was some downpour! The cold front is certainly springing into life over Scotland and NW England
That downpour resulted in a total of 9 mm of rain at Edinburgh Gogarbank along with 8 mm at the botanic Gardens in Edinburgh. The highest hourly rates with that were 7 mm/hr at the botanic Gardens and 6 mm/hr at Gogarbank.
Meanwhile here in Hawick, the rain has now cleared away and although that rain was quite heavy here, it wasn't anything like as intense as it was up in Edinburgh.
Currently around 13°C.

However, normal service for this summer has been resumed once again as we're back to dull and overcast conditions this morning with even some light rain earlier on.
Currently around 13°C here in the town of Hawick in the Scottish Borders.
Not the best day, 18.9c max later in the day with more sunshine.Â
Will be interesting to see how we go against the forecast 25c tomorrow, expecting 27c as a guide to hit 30c next week.
