Looks like a 3 at Reading today, 5 days later than last year from the data (albeit the 16th may have made it as well, looking back) but it wasn't exactly sunny out in town at lunchtime.

Good shout Tierra; 3 also yesterday and 3.2 today. How far are you from Reading itself?

Looks like a 4 today at Chilton, the first I have seen so pretty late compared to last year.

Reading still offline 😤

Yep still no Reading and there's something afoot at Camborne too.
Chilton scraped a 4 yesterday and Weybourne the day before.
5 forecast for the Winchester area today and even a 6 later on- doubt the latter will come to fruition but it looks good for a 5 today.

My personal WS is reading 3 at the moment but I don't know if it is overdoing it.

MetO is forecasting you several hours of 3 today Doc.

Sad the UV option has been removed from their map but can still see forecast after typing location.

Happy days, given it's my nearest station but Reading is back online. Given they have uploaded previous data, it looks like it was offline for uploading rather than logging. A few near miss 4's, tomorrow MO are showing a 5 but will believe that if we see it... out on the river for the day so will do the slip slop slap regime from Australia anyway.

I reckon Reading scraped a 4 on 4th, then 4.6 on 10th. No 5s just yet but soon...

Met Office had a 4, briefly 5 up here today. It definitely feels like it as I've tanned nicely on my face and arms doing some work in the garden this afternoon.

The first 8 I've seen forecast this year via the MetO - it's a shame they removed the "map" forecast, as that was a much easier way of spotting them. (It may well have gone by the time you click the link!)

I agree. I used to start scanning it about now around south Devon for any rogue 9s and then following the 7s to the north of Scotland a few weeks later. Still, nice to see a May 8- reckon they're more likely in July as I think I've picked up that O3 levels are lower the other side of the solstice.

That shows a forecast of UV20 at the far end - I honestly didn't realise it could go that high!
