Had to close the shutters early just before sunset due to temps indoor rapidly drop to 20C from 21C as glass are emitting coldness inside.

We’re all different 15°C at night suits me fine and about 18°C during the day is nice. 20°C is fine but I would open the windows if it was sunny like it was earlier. I guess being in direct sunlight probably helped. I did accidentally set the thermostat on the app on my phone to 26°C ten days ago which was interesting!

When I was young we had no central heating or double glazing so anything in double figures in winter is a bonus.

A cold night has led to the reappearance of something I've not seen in ages: a small patch of condensation (inside) on my bedroom window.

3.9C outsidde, 19.7C (with a 14C dewpoint) in my bedroom. 16.5C downstairs.

I've had the windows open upstairs today to try and shift that higher-dewpoint air - don't really want condensation again!

They're closed again now (and the inside dewpoint has fallen from 14 to 8C).

Downstairs it's 16C and upstairs it's 20C.

19.3c hallway, 19.4c dining room, 21.0c lounge.

A cloudy and mild night arrested the fall and as a result the house is pleasantly warm. No heating this month. A real bonus.

16 down and 20 up. There'll be plenty of heating going on overnight as it's going to be very cold for the time of year by the looks of it! (The MetO text forecast mentions a ground frost in places...)
