Footage of falling ash beginning to come in on Twitter. At the moment they are saying the eruption has reached 23,000 feet. Would not be surprised to see that altitude increase. 

Its still am evolving situation so im wondering if there is a bigger follow up eruption or will it just remain as it is before calming.

I have been to Martinique on several occasions but was never treated to Mount Pelée in action. It was always smothered in cloud, and I was told this was "a sign nothing was going to happen." Believe that if you like.

My Windows random photo on the start up screen had St Kitts today. Perhaps on purpose or just a coincidence!

Another little fissure has opened up overnight in Iceland, situated between the second and third (by date). Not particularly active by the looks but at least some of the lava from the more active second fissure is now feeding back in to the original valley, so the area is getting more generally covered with lava.

It doesn't help when they pan the camera round and zoom it as you can't work out where it is in connection with the original site

St Kitts isn't very close to St Vincent. We were supposed to be going to St Kitts in March 2020 before the pandemic stopped us.

Still a relatively small eruption as of today probably VE3 borderline VE4, and yet to reach the stratosphere. Very photogenic though.

It does however look like there is a significant level of ash falling though which may cause a few problems (not such on Saint Vincent but also on Bardados)

Pretty serious series of eruptions all said, and given its location coupled with our prevailing SW'lys, one wonders if we'll start seeing some of that volcanic dust in the skies over this side of the Atlantic with time.

Another of the RVK vids on the Icelandic eruption, captures a big lava flow from the 2nd fissure (around 10 to 11 minutes in), which is the flow that made it down to the original eruption point yesterday. Footage was presumably shot a few hours before the 4th little fissure opened up.
