I think the new GFS is sick, once again 25c 850s get into the UK. If its correct with low pressure spinning into that heat from France the chance is there for some historic thunder storm event.

ECM has 17c 850s into SE at 144h looks less unstable than the GFS as well so probably hotter 2m temps.

LOL 22c 850s kissing Kent at 192h . ECM a heat lovers dream this morning . If verified and a big if but we'd be looking at all time June records.

The heat in this ECM run really is incredible for central Europe mid 20s 850s for days on end in June .

On this run, it all breaks down to thunderstorms very quickly again though. The unsettled summer will continue after a brief warm up if this run verified.

Sorry. Not meant to be....but looks very thundery at the back end. Unlikely to verify as it's way out in FI. Support is growing for significant heat for a while though.

Definitely thundery but also hot mid 30s in the SE.  what's the June record 35 something so an exceptionally hot run. My favourite summer weather is hot and humid with thunder storms so a perfect run for me.

The heat continues (and intensifies for the U.K.) so far on GFS 06z. 30C on Monday, 32 on Tuesday.

Not quite as intense heat over the continent though. The 40s have disappeared.

Looking way too hot on some of today's models.

Give me classic English summer conditions any day – the loveliest weather in the world.

35c is only acceptable if it's a Saturday and you can wild swim and drink lager all day – absolutely unbearable when working in town.
