Brian hasn't mentioned anything about the change of icons on this site (along with a few other changes to this forum which I have just noticed this evening) and these changes will take a bit of getting used to, but the new icons look a lot cleaner and more colourful.
I also like the way in which a post now autosaves as you're writting it, so that you don't risk losing all of that work if your internet connection suddenly drops whilst you are in the process of trying to submit that post.
Anyway and back on topic, there has been a lot of thin high cloud during the latter part of this afternoon and into this evening, but there has also been some nice sunshine to end the day so that in the end, a total of 5.2 hours of sunshine was recorded for today at Edinburgh Gogarbank.
So far as well, this has now taken us into something which we haven't had for quite a while in these parts, and that is a clear night.
Meanwhile, the temperature at 8pm this evening was 8.4°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 8°C at Edinburgh Airport and 8.6°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
