My Davis 2 recorded 18.4C in my sheltered back garden just 2 miles from the official Met Office station along at the Deeside Gliding Centre.

Aboyne now holds the Scottish record for January (shared with Inchmarlo which is just 10 miles along the road), February and March, all since 2003!

Reached 17.4C here so fell short of the Aberdeen record which still stands after 122 years!

First time in a long while that skies looked even vaguely interesting

Apparently Dyce only had 18 minutes of sun all day so more dodgy readings coming from there.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

I'll just have to be content with my current 9.8 c at 3.30 pm from a max of 11.5 at 12.45 pm - all under mostly overcast skies.

Rhyl already 15c, date record 17.9c. Depending on sunshine amounts in North Wales could be another record breaking day.

The temperature in the shade here has shot up to 16.6C now the hazy sun has cleared to proper blue skies. We are to the North of the Peak District hills so could be one of the warmest spots today too.
