Today has just been a return to that same old borefest which we have had to endure for most of this winter with all of the more interesting weather being elsewhere in the UK other than here as usual.
This morning has just been one massive grey, overcast and at times, fairly misty nothingness with nothing which is even remotely interesting in terms of our weather actually happening.
It did brighten up for a very brief period just a short while ago, but nothing in the way of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 12 noon.
Last night's overnight minimum temperature was 0.9°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 0°C at Edinburgh Airport and 0.4°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
Meanwhile, the temperature at 12 noon was 5.2°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 5°C at Edinburgh Airport and 5.2°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh, although it feels colder for some unknown reason (since there is very little in the way of wind, that can't be down to wind chill) than what it actually is.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
