Here in Edinburgh, we have just had a massive jump in the temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank from 3.9°C at 8pm this evening (which at that time, was already that station's maximum temperature for today) all the way up to 8.7°C at 9pm this evening. That is an increase of 4.8°C in just an hour and as that has happened, the wind has also picked up as well.

I think that we can therefore now safely say that the milder air has arrived here, and that we have now probably reached the point in time when that is probably it for our winter.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Been a vile day! Drizzle and spits of light rain as well as dull and mild! About as bad as it can get!
