A few hours ago, it was all looking fairly rosy here as the temperature was below freezing at two of my three local stations. Since then though, there has been a lot more cloud and a slight breeze around which has caused the temperature to jump back up above freezing at all of my three local stations (with the temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank even going above yesterday's reported maximum for there) with all of that frost which had been around all day, now having disappeared altogether.
There has also been some showers nearby as well, but as these have broken up just at the point where they have just about reached here, this also means that we are back to our usual borefest as well with nothing which is even remotely interesting in terms of our weather, actually happening now.
Meanwhile, the temperature at midnight was 1.2°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 2°C at Edinburgh Airport and 0.8°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
