There's no lying snow in the South West (except maybe the moors), the southern coastal counties, East Anglia and many other places.

We definitely don’t. It’s only rained today.

The forecast were spot on here. Not a shower for miles around.

Possibly more suitable for the short term thread but I noticed the BBC forecast mentioned the risk of wintry weather in parts of E Anglia and Kent especially the Downs tomorrow if today’s feature creeps back in from the east. Perhaps one for some of our SEern contingent to keep an eye on (as well as for some parts still this evening).

I heard snow is falling in central London now and settling in places?

Nothing here but sleety in heavier bursts of showers! 

Looks like it (google High Wycombe), select maps rather than web

click the traffic option, and it is dark red (virtually stationary traffic) all over the place

Moving the map around shows the areas where traffic is virtually stopped, seems to be Chilterns and North London

3cm + settled on all surfaces here and still snowing moderately............

I will be keeping an eye out Doc.  Euro 4 has gone off on one.  Its simply a nowcast situation.  The main problem here on the coast and at 5masl is that things tend to be wet rather than white. But theres a chance up in them thar hills for sure.

heavy snow. settling

Had heavy snow for about 30 mins here - big fluffy flakes, but landing on a wet surface, it was never going to stick. Wasn't expecting it to be honest - temps above 2C nearly always give cold rain. Sincerely hope that isn't the lot for this winter!!!

Just wet in Dartford, no snow for us. Well not yet anyway, but I'm not sure we'll get any white stuff here :(

Mostly light to occasionally moderate snow here, after a few slight sleety bits earlier. Nice to see us getting falling snow from a North Westerly though, I'd been assured that never happens

Great to here all these snow reports from southern areas - is this going to stop some of you moaning so much about crap synoptics? ;-) 

We had a light snow shower half an hour ago but the skies are clearing now. It’s going to turn cold very quickly with a significant ice risk. Don’t hold out much hope for any further snow but any that does make it this far now will be sure to settle. 

Theres a “blob” just north of Blackpool which may give us a dusting. 

Yep it's not long just started snowing here now too! Quite surprised as it's 3.1c & DP is 1c too!!! Settling on the greenhouse roof so far!

Rained for an hour but temp quickly fell from 4.6c and it turned to snow then immediately stopped!  

Temp now below freezing but clear sky and the radar is showing the echoes seem to be pivoting now with me under the clear bit in the middle!
