Still mostly overcast here with some light rain and drizzle and although it is a little bit brighter than what it was earlier on, nothing in the way of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 12 noon.
The wind has picked up quite a lot during this morning as well with maximum wind gusts at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 12 noon getting up to 39.1mph from the SW.
I mentioned earlier on that there might have been a little bit of rain this morning and indeed, a total of 0.2 mm of rain has been recorded for today so far as at 12 noon along with 0.2 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
At the same time though, this so-called "winter" now appears to have gone completely down the toilet pan for now at least as today is a very mild day to the extent that the temperatures have reached double figures at all three of my local stations for the first time this winter.
Meanwhile, the temperature at 12 noon was 11.8°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 12°C at Edinburgh Airport and 12.1°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh which for all three of my local stations, already makes today the mildest day of the winter so far by quite a considerable margin.
