This is a Greenland High
How many times have we seen members say the "Greenland High" is 5mb higher on this run when infact there is no Greenland high there in the first place!

Agree with regard to 'upgrades and downgrades'.
Also 'scuero' and on the other side 'waiting for what GP and Tamara have to say'
As for the comments on the modern winter needless to say I don't agree - as this isn't a catchphrase or a soundbite - it's a reflection of real change in our climate over the last 30 years. Does make me laugh though how the other side have banned it and even suspend members who try to make reference to it.
Agree regrading 'upgrade' and 'downgrade ' especially when in capitals. Usually shows a complete disregard for ensemble data and the bigger picture , viewing Op runs in isolation. 'Uncle Barty' has to be the winner. Instant bans should be issued for anyone who comes out with that phrase.

In here definitely ‘modern winter’ and ‘Bartlett’ when used incorrectly - which is most of the time.

"Modern winter"
"Shades of December 2010" (none of us will live to see a December 2010 again - the UK's coldest December, by 1.1C(!), since Met Office records began in 1910; claiming that any sort of model output might be pointing to something similar is disrespecting the memory of a sacred event imo)
Having said that, I'll no doubt be adding "none of us will live to see a December 2010 again" to the list come January 1st.
Well, two or three times a decade it does, anyway.
'Atlantic train'
'Zonal express'
'The Beast' (from the East) – not our esteemed colleague of that name, I hasten to add
'Weather event'
'At least it will be mild'
Often used by Darren Betts.
It should be a sackable offence.
