With so much showery activity in the vicinity of this area throughout today, it was never going to be possible for all of these showers to completely avoid this part of the world altogether. In the end, that has been proved to be true, but the end result of this is that a total of just 0.2 mm of rain was recorded for yesterday at Edinburgh Gogarbank along with 0.2 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh and now, those showers appear to have died out altogether.
However and not for the first time in recent days, the temperatures are still once again, refusing to drop as a result of there being too much cloud around and too much of a breeze.
As a result, the temperature at midnight was 8.5°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 9°C at Edinburgh Airport and 8.8°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
