If anyone is wondering about my lack of posts today on this thread, there are two reasons for that.
1- Lack of Data. If there is not enough data coming through from the various sources which I get that from in order for me to compile these posts properly, I can't then report that and this is exactly what has happened today, and which is still continuing to happen. That is very frustrating for me and not acceptable in this day and age.
2 - Lack of interesting weather. If the weather is just too boring to report, there is no point in doing so as far as I am concerned, and today has just been a complete borefest as far as I am concerned with very little actually happening which is even remotely interesting.
Today has brought a lot of cloud with some sunshine with a total of 1.5 hours of sunshine being recorded for today at Edinburgh Gogarbank and although there has also been more of a breeze today, that is just the same old boring fare which I have reported for most of the time in recent months and it would be nice if I actually had something different to report here for a change.
A nice spell of heavy rain would help to break the monotony here and there was some light rain a short time ago. However, even that was barely enough to wet the ground and since has been happening so often in recent times, that in itself just adds to why the weather in this part of the world is so boring just now.
As far as the temperatures go, I'm not getting enough data to provide a full report for that. From what little data I have though, I can say that today has ended up being milder than yesterday. Too much cloud cover means that the temperature is refusing to drop and even as late as 8pm this evening, the temperature was still close to its highest value of today, of around the 13°C mark.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
