Is there a reason you posted this in Sunday’s thread?

I suspect like me, because it was at the top of the thread list although he does seem to have been the first to resurrect it unless earlier posters have deleted theirs.

Sorry an oversight...dazzled by the sunlight...maybe I can get mondays forecast correct too!!! 

i think I could have kept the I.E tab open on TWO for Sunday's CC thread and just posted it today without realising it was still on Sunday and that tab wasn't closed! I was looking at another discussion forum on model output or something!! I only use this on PC and I have at least 6 - 10 tabs open as I am doing other things so that could be why!  -Something to remember. TO close multiple tabs after use.

There was a time (unless someone can correct me on that), when only a Mod could start a current conditions thread which meant that old threads could immediately be locked as soon as the next one starts. This is what Brian does with the Model Output and Media threads.

Somewhere down the line though, that all changed and now, any member can start any day's current conditions thread if that hasn't already been started for that day (as I have done on so many occasions). However, it is still only a Mod who has the power to be able to lock any old threads from previous days.

To me, that is something which needs to be looked into and so, perhaps the Mods should be looking out for each day's current conditions thread being started and be prepared to lock the old threads once that happens.

I think that the general drift down the pages tends to do the job through lack of posting rather than needing to close it. Regarding CC threads (or any thread) I think it's been the case that they could be started by any member (at least since I can recall - circa 2003). The more popular  MO and Media threads get reborn after 50 or so pages.
