A bright and sunny start to this morning has resulted in 1.8 hours of sunshine being recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 8am this morning, but there is now a lot more in the way of cloud spilling over from the west which has already started to obscure that sunshine.
Last night was quite cool and the overnight minimum temperature was 11.6ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 11ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 9.8ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am this morning was 15.2ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 15ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 16.0ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
Finally, I have an exceptionally busy day ahead which means that I won't be able to post my usual lunchtime update on this thread at just after 12 noon. However, I should be able to post again at just after 5pm as normal, with normal service on these threads resumed after that.
