This evening's rain has now finally cleared away, but has done so too late for us to have had any hope of seeing any late evening sunshine. This means that the rather disappointing total of just 2.4 hours of sunshine was recorded for today in the end at Edinburgh Gogarbank with nothing at all in that department since 2pm this afternoon.

As at 10pm tonight, a total of 2.4 mm of rain has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank along with 1.6 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh This means that today will now go down as an official rain day at both of those stations although those totals which I have just quoted, should now be today's final total.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 10pm tonight was 13.2ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 13ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 13.3ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
