I wonder if the all-time Netherlands record will go today? De Bilt already up to 28C at 0630 UTC! It would need to beat 38.6C.

We are matching yesterday's temperatures step-for-step. Currently a shade over 27C. Exactly as it was this time yesterday.

Another horrendous roaster on the cards.

Can't remember what the final figures were for all the stations quoted in this thread for this region yesterday. But I'm pretty sure they ended up higher than the official high for this region given on the MO site of 33.8C at Marham. I managed 34.7C and although not official, I'm quite happy with that figure.

Low last night 16.5 which is 3C warmer than yesterday. Currently 26.3C which is similar to yesterday, maybe a degree lower.

Slightly ahead of yesterday here in London. It hit 25C around 09:11 yesterday and its that now. But the rise does feel slow.

That being said, stations east of this location are rising rapidly with Southend already reporting 27C. That's a good 2C warmer than this time yesterday overall.

lakenheath    33.4
Santon Downham    33.2

We have just hit 30C about half an hour later than we did yesterday. I now think today is going to max out at about 34C so no record here.

Wow... some truly remarkable temperatures for so early in the day! I do think there is a serious chance that we could see a new July record today, should the clouds stay away from these areas. As for the all-time, that's a bit too much of a stretch IMO.

not as hot here today and less humid and back to the dry heat, perhaps this is helping to fuel the storms further north
