Just as I predicted at the end of yesterday's thread, this morning has started off on yet another depressing and soul destroying note with yet another dull, grey and overcast nothingness and permacast hell to begin the day with thanks to that easterly muck coming in from off the North Sea yet again during last night.
The end result of this is that nothing in the way of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 8am this morning.
Contrary to what Jerry has just said, there was still a NE wind present at Edinburgh Airport at 8am according to the latest data from weathercast.co.uk. That wind is only light just now and so, it will generally feel quite calm. Nevertheless, I'm sure that it will only be a matter of time before that wind picks up and once again, causes the temperatures to refuse to rise to any sort of meaningful levels in this part of the world as it generally being doing recently.
Last night's overnight minimum temperature was 11.7ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 12ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 11.7ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am this morning was 13.2ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 13ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 12.0ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
