An area of high pressure looks set to dominate, favouring settled weather. Much of the period looks relatively dry.
The period begins changeable, turning settled around Friday 16 October.
Daytime highs in the upper teens at first, close to average for October, look set to ease back into the low teens later on, below average. Thursday 15 October looks like the warmest day, with highs of 19°C, which is warm for mid-October. Later in the period there are signs of lows near 1°C, though that far ahead the timing is uncertain. If so, sheltered and rural areas could see patchy frost on clearer nights.
Light to moderate rainfall is signalled, totalling around 19mm over the period.
