I've rewritten part of this so that it works with Apple iPhone / iPad + Safari. I'll upload the updated version tomorrow for testing. |

This should now be working on iPhone/iPad as well as Android. I've also made a number of changes to the camera. 1) A timeout and feedback is provided if upload fails 2) If location services a notification is provided and no attempt to upload the photo is made 3) The camera screen is greyed out as the upload takes place to prevent the possibility of buttons being accidentally pressed It is still restricted to TWO forum users and can be accessed here: https://www.theweatheroutlook.com/photo-uploader.aspx I'll be improving the viewer so that: 1) More usable on mobile 2) Links to most recent photos in addition to the latest one 3) Full size view of the pics https://www.theweatheroutlook.com/twoother/sky-eye-live.aspx Edited by user 12 March 2019 14:13:26(UTC)

Few changes to make it easier to use. 1) Upload or take picture using the device camera if one is available 2) You can now rotate images 3) The gallery defaults to showing the most recent images Camera and uploaderhttps://www.theweatherou....com/photo-uploader.aspx Galleryhttps://www.theweatherou...her/sky-eye-gallery.aspx Tested on Android, IOS and Windows. EDIT: the latest 3 photos are featured on the TWO homepage below the latest news section. If you're authenticating with a TWO forum account your pics are published immediately. If you're using Google, Facebook or Twitter to login they should appear on the site within a few hours. You can also quickly share on Twitter. View the full sized image by clicking on the thumbnail in the image gallery and then get the url, for example: https://www.theweatherou...mp;lat=51.8&lon=-0.6 Then simply paste the url into a Tweet to generate something like this: SHOW TWEETS Edited by user 02 January 2020 08:47:59(UTC)

Hi Brian I’m also having difficulties uploading photos from iPhone/iPad with the message “File size too big. Resize or compress” this is awkward on iOS . The only ways I can do this is by reducing the size of the image to about half its area. And I’ve no idea how to compress photos on iOS. Any chance the file size limit can be increased? Cheers

Also, I did manage to upload one photo about 20 minutes ago. By cropping the pic drastically, but I can’t see it in the gallery?

Brian, I have a video that I’d like you and others to look at, possibly of ball lightning. I don’t have web space to publish it to. Any chance I can email it for you to upload? |

The guy who owns the video is going to have a go at uploading it to YouTube later. I’ll add a link when he’s done it. |
