Thats me retrieving the recycling bins and as much of the recycling that I can from this end of the street at 7am... again!! The street is full of swirling plastic and paper heading east!!
Gusts are 50 mph in Edinburgh. Not huge but too much for the bins. I can't wait for High Pressure after 4 rough days
Bin day is an impossible process up here in winter 😡

The weather in Hawick this morning was OK. There was some bright intervals at time and it was fairly windy, though nothing like as windy as it was a few days ago when we were being battered by Storm Boelo.
Today was my travel day which meant that I took a bus to Galashiels and then a train to Edinburgh. As I was in Galashiels waiting for the train back to Edinburgh, it was still reasonably sunny.
With my arrival back in Edinburgh though, I was greeted with a heavy shower which took a while to pass over and I kind of got a bit soaked. I still didn't think that it was massively windy here in Edinburgh even though Edinburgh was in the yellow wind warning whilst Hawick wasn't, but what wind we had still didn't really feel all that pleasant.
This evening, we have clear skies and a waning gibbous Moon that is still almost full (the actual Full Moon was yesterday, the same day as my birthday).
Even under clear skies though, the temperatures aren't dropping all that much and are current at around 8°C here in Edinburgh.
