I have travelled on the Jungfrau railway from Kleine Sheidegg to Jungfraujoch twice - in 1983 and 2024 and both times taken a pic from the viewing gallery there
I have just been tidying up my many hundreds of photo folders and came across these two snaps which I have just combined in to a single composite image. Not very scientific as the 1983 visit was in mid June and the 2024 one was early August - 6 weeks later in the year but I was amazed just how the glacier snow level has declined in that 41 year period. As you can see I was much luckier with the visibility in the 1983 visit !
