Feeling more 'ordinary' today with a fair breeze, watery westerly skies with an occassional passing shower and a much better feeling temp of 16.3c currently coupled with a dew point of 11.2c.

Partly cloudy, breezy and warm at 25.2 but feeling much fresher due to a 14.9 dewpoint - the lowest in over a week!

Just goes to show what several days of 20+ dewpoints does, 25.2/14.9 would not normally feel anywhere near as fresh as it does today.

Still felt very warm in the sun today. Looks like the max was 27.1C so not far off "heatwave" level in the south even today.

Today's maximum temperature was 20.43°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 20.58°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh, so today was cooler than yesterday but not by all that much.

As at 7:40pm BST (18:40 UTC), a total of only 4.1 hours of sunshine was recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank because although there was some decent sunny spells at times, there was also quite a lot of cloud around for most of the day, although today hasn't been as windy as yesterday.

As it stands, a total of at least 19.8 hours of sunshine needs to be recorded between now and the end of this month at Edinburgh Gogarbank  in order for this month to go down as being sunnier than average. This is still perfectly doable at this time of the year, especially given than there are still two days left of this month but those last 2 days of this month will need to be quite a lot sunnier than of late in order for that to happen, and that is not how it is forecast to be over that period.

As I write, it is cooler than it was at this time yesterday at around 16°C here in Edinburgh.

11.1c with a DP of 8c was the min, certainly needed more than a sheet last night.

House is back down to 22c now, which is a relief, outside is now 15c

if we can keep above 25C for the next few days then I think we have a very good chance of breaking 1995’s record run of 25C+ days.

Today's maximum temperature was 19.54°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 19.26°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh, so today was slightly cooler than yesterday.

It was also fairly windy with a total of 6.9 hours of sunshine being recorded for today at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 8:40pm BST (19:40 UTC) this evening. This means at a total of at least 12.7 hours of sunshine needs to be recorded between now and the end of the day tomorrow in order for this month to go down as being sunnier than average, otherwise this will go down as a duller than average month here.

Currently around 16°C here in Edinburgh.
