I knew that but there are likely to be some less knowledgeable people on here who don't, and I always try to cater for those people as well.

The snowy cam looks great. I think if we're to see snow in this part of the UK it will come in the Spring. When I'm not excited to see it.

The wailing of the wolves certainly has faded - the two remaining Arctics were put down yesterday, meaning there are only two wolves left at the wolf centre - both 14, and they've lost their howl (as all old wolves do). Even though it's been a sunny afternoon my mood has been anything but today!

Erm, anyway, it's clear, pretty much calm, 3.8, dew -0.8, a crisp and clear evening following a high of 6.7 earlier. 

Things are just starting to dry up a little too, shame it's not going to last!

I am very, very sorry to hear that, Retron. Losing animals we love is losing real friends who are every bit a part of the family. Putting them down before the real sufferings of old age sets  in was an undoubtedly hard but very wise decision. We as humans suffer, but we tend to know why, which rationalises our pain somewhat, but animals only feel the pain and suffering. The live in, and for, the moment.
