The UK saw its third dullest October on record, recording just 63.3 hours of sunshine across the month. Only 1960 and 1968 have seen less sunshine since this Met Office sunshine series began in 1910.

This doesn't surprise me, though I didn't know it until I read the piece on the Met Office website. TBH, I often find autumn a very interesting season, but that hasn't been the case so far this year. After Storm Amy the month was tedious to say the least.
