Conclusion
After a cool start to the month, June 2025 ended up being warmer than average overall with Edinburgh's hottest June day on record even occurring on the day before the summer solstice. This is in complete contrast to last year when there wasn't even a single temperature of 25°C or above in that entire year.
However, June 2025 was a wetter than average month and in that context, it was our first wetter than average month of the year but even with that, the number of official rain days was slightly below average.
In comparison with other recent months, June 2025 wasn't as sunny overall but it was still yet another sunnier than average month. It was our fourth sunnier than average month in a row and as I write, February continues to be this year's only duller than average month.
