Models suggest a warm to very warm start with more runs with days over 10c @850hPa shown right now than I think at any point in the summer.

But will that translate to actual heat on the ground and will it happen? I am going to go with Warmer than average and go for 16.00c

I echo the previous two posts. It has all of the hallmarks of another warm, dry and summery September. I'll go for 16.0 please. 🙂

Agree, but oddly, a 15C+ 850 incursion from the east, not reaching the far south but covering the CET stations, could well lift it higher for a couple of days first. One year ago today marked the second day of an unprecedented September heatwave over England, and I started my south coast walk for my retirement. Couldn't be more different- a marvel, the British weather.
