Conclusion: March 2024 was slightly milder than average but in complete contrast with the rest of the UK and the CET figure, our temperatures were actually fairly close to average, but the number of air frosts was well below average once again due to a lot of cloud cover at night.
In addition to that, it was a thoroughly wet month with nearly twice our 1991-2020 March average rainfall and even the number of rain days was also significantly above average.
Finally, March 2024 was a very dull month which would have been far worse still had it not been for a relatively sunny last couple of days of the month.
All in all, March 2024 was a thoroughly dull, wet and miserable month which I'm now glad to finally see the back of.
