Sunday finds us between low pressure so we should have a mostly dry day with bright or sunny spells. A few scattered rain showers are possible in the east with more frequent wintry showers across central and northern Scotland. Temperatures will be chilly be less cold at 6C to 12C.

The next area of low pressure heads our way on Monday. We start with a widespread frost but also plenty of sunshine. Cloud and outbreaks of rain arrives in the west later in the day with heavy rain and snow across Scotland. Central and eastern England should stay mostly dry though it will turn cloudier as the day wears on. Temperatures 2C to 12C north to south.

Low pressure is in control for Tuesday. Rain and snow should die out across Scotland with the northern half of the country having a drier day while cloud and rain pushes northwards across England and Wales through the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be cold again at 2C to 10C.

Low pressure stays in control on Wednesday. Watch out for more outbreaks of heavy and persistent rain across much of the country. There could be sleet and snow over high ground in northern regions too with cold temperatures of 2C to 10C.

The weather remains generally unsettled for Thursday and Good Friday with further spells of rain in many places. More sleet and snow is likely over northern hills at times, too. Temperatures remain generally chilly or cold at 2C to 10C.

The rest of the Easter Weekend remains generally unsettled and cool/cold with more rain at times.
