Conclusion:February 2024 was supposed to bring about a cold end to the winter with many experts predicting that it might end up being the coldest month of the winter.
What we got instead was anything but that as it ended up being a completely snowless month here which was fairly substantially milder than average with a below average number of air frosts so that in the context of it being a winter month, it was a very disappointing month altogether.
It was a month which was substantially wetter than average in terms of the number of rain days but because that rainfall never really came with any great conviction here, our rainfall totals were actually slightly below average.
However, February 2024 was also a slightly duller than average month overall.
