I've been following today's snow reports on Highland and Islands Weather but I'm surprised light snow has reached Edinburgh already

Yeh, first smattering of snow in south edinburgh - will this ceaseless winter ever end 😥?

Mostly melted on contact apart from my decking, I reckon the pentlands will look nice tomorrow though

Heavy wet snow falling at Whitby
Nothing here yet 12 miles inland but much colder about on freezing +windy

I think I missed something similar earlier as I have just been outside and there’s a light dusting on some surfaces now.

Have just come out of pub to moderate snow and laying. Beautiful. I hope that curl of precipitation pushes inland in the next few hours.

4 cm of fresh snow this morning, just above freezing at 0.8C dew point -1C , still snowing at present, will enjoy it while it lasts, as back to milder conditions nest week. Before then we could get some double digit lows 🥶

Location Whisky 🥃 country, Cragganmore ,Moray, 440 AMSL

Looks like I've missed all of that action here in NW Edinburgh as per usual.😡

I have only really just woke up but looking outside, it's just dry and sunny here with a bit of frost around. An official air frost has been recorded at all three of my local stations, but last night wasn't our coldest night of the season and I certainly don't see any snow around here.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

No, not a snow report by me, but I've finally observed the first actual frost of the season here at Folkestone despite not true freezing conditions with a min of 1.6 C at 1 am. Despite temps being at 4.6 C and 3 C DP at 10 am, frost is still hanging on roofs in the shade.

It's cloudy here now with a north wind increasing. Temperature has risen to 1 C with some very light snow grains blowing around. The radar is now showing North Sea showers beginning to move from the NNE rather than N.
Clutching at straws here! 😂
