Here in Edinburgh, there is some cloud around but that hasn't prevented this morning from starting on a cold note with an official air frost at Edinburgh Airport and Edinburgh Gogarbank (I am unable to confirm whether or not this is also the case at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh as there has been no data from there since 4pm GMT (16:00 UTC) on 5 December 2022).

Last night's overnight minimum temperature was -1.6°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank and around -3°C at Edinburgh Airport which also makes last night our coldest night of this winter so far.

Meanwhile, the latest recorded temperature was -0.3° at Edinburgh Gogarbank (as at 7am GMT (07:00 UTC) this morning) and around -1°C at Edinburgh Airport (as at 7:20am GMT (07:20 UTC) this morning).

Bright with some winter sunshine, them thar hills seems to be doing a good job in filtering out the low cloud coming in from the north. 

A seasonal feeling 4.8 C & high 80% H but rather a lot of dampness (0.2 mm). No frost observed with a min of 2.8 C at 8.30 am.
