Nothing compared to the north Pennines,  I realise, but so much rarer that it's worth recording.

Light covering at sea level (Chichester) at 9am, 2-3 cm at 200m+ asl on the Downs. By lunchtime the snow had melted below about 100m. asl and was beginning to thaw on the tops.

The Army doing a bit of snow clearance?

Dew- the snow stayed on rooftops and some ground surfaces all day just west of here (and not much asl). Only 1C at 4pm and some droplets on branches still just about ice in the woods. Oddly, high ground in the Otterbourne area was less snowy at this time than low ground towards Baddesley.

Silly comment alert- Sunday was I think 28th Nov in 2010 as well.

But certainly the snow was patchy - very little a few miles east of Chichester. A few roofs in Chichester hstill had snow at the end of the afternoon and convrsely some had none earlier that morning. You can see who spent on roof insulation
