I did look but there was too much light pollution here. This SpaceWeather shot is good. Minnesota.

Some faint pillars, pleasing none the less. That's three times in the last year that I have had the pleasure of seeing Aurora in the UK.

It's worth revisiting the SpaceWeather website for an update: Photos of the storm are still arriving - see the Gallery link....

Interesting  there is no footage of them blasting off and also landing. All we see is them dancing around for a few minutes in orbit like a bunch of drunk tarts

Yesterday the Moon eclipsed the sun. No one on Earth saw it. The "lunar transit" was only visible from space.

THE LARGEST SUNSPOT OF 2025: A huge sunspot is turning toward Earth, posing a threat for strong geoeffective solar flares. Amateur astronomers monitoring the active region have found an unusual ring of "Ellerman Bombs" exploding around the sunspot's planet-sized cores. Full story @

SpaceWeather - could become interesting! I hope so.
"You've heard of the 11-year sunspot cycle. But what about the Centennial Gleissberg Cycle? The Gleissberg Cycle is a slower 100-year modulation of sunspots. New research just published in the journal Space Weather suggests that the Gleissberg Cycle is waking up again, which could make solar cycles for the next 50 years increasingly intense."

I find this research VERY intriguing! I hope WW spots it!

"Solar eclipses aren't just for homo sapiens. Researchers have long known that birds, insects, and many other mammals pay attention when the Moon slides in front of the sun. Now we can add trees to the list."

Partial eclipse on Oct. 25, 2022:  Electrical signals inside spruce trees began to pulse in unison, with older trees seeming to anticipate the eclipse before it happened.

I hope WW spots this SpaceWeather piece:
"After weeks of calm, solar activity is suddenly high again. Since yesterday, the sun has produced two X-class solar flares and multiple strong M-flares. So far, Earth has been on the outer edge of the strike zone, but this could change in the days ahead as the exploding sunspot turns to face our planet."
