158mm so far this month

a real possibility of getting over 200mm which is crazy

Last winter started with a big washout in October even then we only achieved 95mm...

For all the Global warming nay sayers - the evidence is marrying up with the forecasts perfectly, things will get more extreme, and probably warmer.

We couldnt be seeing a clearer overall impact from my back yard perspective. Wet, warm, and very windy.

Just 2 mm short of the 200 mm mark for this month in my back yard.

Let's put it this way, I'm glad I've got my roof mended with finally a leak-free dry attic. This October has been a real test and passed with flying colours.

LTA = 1981-2010 average for the month, season or year in question at that particular station.

Since there has now been more rain during this year at both of those stations than the respective 1981-2010 annual average for each of those stations, this year will now go down as being wetter than average overall in terms of the actual rainfall amounts at both of those stations, regardless of what happens between now and the end of this year.

LTA = 1981-2010 average for the month, season or year in question at that particular station.

This is now the third month during this year where more than 100 mm of rain has been recorded at both of those stations in total and although today is the last day of the month, those above totals for this month are unlikely to be the actual final totals for this month in the end, as more rain is expected to fall here during the next 24 hours.
