There have been some remarkable sunsets seen from Irlam recently.  A tropical look to them. Can't recall such a run since the Sarychev sunsets of 2009

Beautiful images thanks Kevin

The sun "close ups" are most impressive

I "collect" sunrises and sunsets in that each time I spot one from the house I nip up to the top floor where I live and take a view from the window

Sadly I live in an urban environment so much as I would like a rural setting to show off nature at its best, I have to be content with a foreground of cars, back gardens and rooftops on mine

For th etechnical I usually go about 2 stops under a standard exposure but take them bracketed as -2,0,+2stops and then use Photomatix to blend the results. In order to prevent too much movement I generally fix the F-stop and ISO and use d=shutter speed variation for the brackets

This is a collage of a few of the sunsets and sunrises and it never ceases to amaze me how many different types there are
