Yet another totally rank windy morning. It's a never ending hell.

Feeling cold as usual due to the vile wind. Currently 6.1C following yet another tedious mild min of 4.6C. Awful.

Clear with a few broken fragments of cumulus; fresh N breeze, dry.

10.2*C after a minimum of 5.8*C at 6.30am; 55%RH.

1029.0mb rising slowly.

Rather fresh outside in the N wind and low humidity.  Might be nice in the garden if I can get out of the wind and in the sun.

Dry & bright with sunny spells and fair-weather cumulus. 12.4 c & 55% h which does feel fresh in the moderate north breeze.

All lovely for this time of year and is the reason why Spring is my new favourite season.

Today has been fairly sunny for most of the time, although there was a veil of high cloud during this afternoon.

Before I go any further with this report, I will add that if anyone is wondering why I haven't been reporting any sunshine totals over the last few days on these threads, it is because the data for the sunshine totals at Edinburgh Gogarbank suddenly stopped coming through from weathercast.co.uk after 11am on Friday (since that was a completely overcast day though, it was still safe to report that as a completely sunless day even though there wasn't actually enough data to back that up although that day has been confirmed as being completely sunless at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh).

There was then no sunshine data at all from that source over the course of the weekend for that same station, and it was the same for a large part of today as well. I then looked to Weather Online for that data, but couldn't find it there either, so that left me unable to report any sunshine data for Edinburgh Gogarbank over the last few days.

However, that data has started coming through from weathercast.co.uk once again but as I write, that only goes back to 1pm this afternoon so I can only report that a total of 1.4 hours of sunshine was recorded for today at Edinburgh Gogarbank from 1pm onwards. This means that unless that missing data for the period between 11am on Friday and 1pm this afternoon comes through at some point in time, this will result in my final statistics for both this month and this spring being incomplete as far as Edinburgh Gogarbank is concerned due to that missing data.

What sunshine data I have for today though, includes the first recorded sunshine of this year to have occurred after 6pm on any given evening as things stand now, although it is possible that this might actually have occurred during the weekend that the missing data covers.

Anyway, today's maximum temperature was 10.8°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 11°C at Edinburgh Airport and 11.4°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh, so today was slightly warmer than yesterday.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8pm this evening was 7.7°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 8°C at Edinburgh Airport and 6.3°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
