Hello folks,

Here's the weather forecast for the week ahead

https://www.gavsweathervids.com/weather-forecast-for-the-week-ahead.php

Another very interesting weeks weather with heavy rain, severe gale force winds, hail, thunder, lightning sleet and #uksnow all featuring as well as the kitchen sink...

Tomorrow we have our first Summer 2019 update as well a a verification for the Winter 2018/19 Forecast (that will be fun!  )

Thanks as ever for your support and to Brian and the Mods for making it happen!

Thanks Gav.

Given that we had such a poor winter recently as regards to any sort of cold weather, snow or frost, I'll bet you that back then, you wouldn't have believed that you would even have thought about having to do a snow watch video just now in what is supposed to be our "spring".

Nevertheless, that is just yet another example of how quickly our weather can change and possibly catch us all out and I always enjoy the manner in which you portray that on your videos.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Thank you Gavin. Brisk wind Tuesday morning for early hospital appointment.

Others just get wet.

Paying the price for that recent Summer spell by seeing the return of Autumn during a winter month when we should be looking forward to Spring.

Thanks Gavin.

With the weather being so unsettled it must have been rather a challenge to produce a forecast, and if anything can go wrong, it could be a matter of the timing changing.

Or, to adapt one of the best gag-lines in comedy history, with a hat-tip to Eric Morecambe, it could be:

"All the right weather, but not necessarily in the right order."

But maybe that's an overstatement, and it could be that timing and fine detail are subject to modification.  We'll see.  Hope you see the funny side.

Thanks guys!

Jon, to be honest I have been expecting cold/snow this month (and maybe April) February reminded me a LOT of 1998 and 2008 and both Feb's were followed by appreciable cold Spring weather, so it's not a shock at all...

AJ, yep certainly keeps us on our toes.

Have added the first Summer 2019 analogues update to the Summer 2019 updates and forecast page + A written summary for anyone who can't watch the video

https://www.gavsweathervids.com/summer-2019-weather-forecast.php

And... We're up and running with Summer updates.

Also today I released a Winter 2018/19 Forecast verification which you can see/read here:

https://www.gavsweathervids.com/winter-2018-19-weather-forecast.php

This closes the door  firmly shut on Winter 18/19.
