Fine and sunny. It may "only" be 12.7 c & 79% h but under calm winds the lawn cutting routine was easily done in a T shirt & shorts and I still broke into a sweat.

14.6C was the high today, rather more wind - but another perfect blue sky day, which doesn't often happen in any season.

An almost completely sunny day means that a total of 7.7 hours of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 4pm this afternoon. This means that we have now had more than 100 hours of sunshine there during this month so far with less than an hour plus tomorrow still to go until the end of this month. For what is supposed to be a "winter" month, that is very remarkable indeed.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 4pm this afternoon was 13.6°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 13°C at Edinburgh Airport and 14.1°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
