Clear and sunny yet the temperature has fallen no lower than 4.2C.

Now a full week since it last dropped below 4C. A truly execrable spell.

After a fine sunny morning, cumulus are now filling up the sky but is still bright in a Spring-like kind of way and the council landscape workers have just cut the grass along my street so there is that nice scent in the air. 10.0 c & 81% h under a light W breeze.

After a bright and sunny start to this morning, everything has now descended once again, into yet another dull, grey and overcast nothingness as it has clouded over from the west with nothing which is even remotely interesting in terms of our weather actually happening which means that we are back into our weather borefest once again, which we have had to endure for most of the time throughout this so-called "winter".

The result of this is that a rather miserable total of just 6 minutes of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 12 noon.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 1pm this afternoon was 7.9°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 8°C at Edinburgh Airport and 8.6°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

The borefest goes on here as the rest of today has brought us nothing by constant grey skies and nothing which is even remotely interesting, actually happening.

In the end, the really abysmal total of just 6 minutes of sunshine was recorded for the whole of today at Edinburgh Gogarbank with nothing at all in that department since 9am this morning.

That makes today, the dullest day of this month so far and it means that a total of at least another 5.9 hours of sunshine is still needed between now and the end of this month in order for this month to go down as being sunnier than average overall.

To make matters even worse, the radar maps are telling me that it's raining here just now and yet, I can't still can't see anything happening here and everything is still looking as bone dry as ever at the moment,

Today's maximum temperature was 8.2°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 8°C at Edinburgh Airport and 8.8°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 5pm this afternoon was 7.5°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 5°C at Edinburgh Airport and 7.7°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
