Overcast with some rain at times.

In the end, this has resulted in 0.4 mm of rain being recorded for yesterday at Edinburgh Gogarbank along with 0.4 mm at the botanic gardens which is only a very small amount, but enough to result in yesterday being yet another day which has failed to stay completely dry.

However, this is turning out to be an increasing warm and humid night and so, the temperature at midnight was 13.9°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 14°C at Edinburgh Airport and 13.1°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

The overnight rain has cleared away now with the odd appearance by the Sun every now and then. However, there is also still a lot of cloud around and as usual, this means that nothing in the way of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 8am this morning.

Nevertheless, a total of 3.8 mm of rain has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank along with 2.0 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh. This means that today will now go down as an official rain day at both of those stations.

It is also very windy this morning as well with the wind at Edinburgh Gogarbank gusting up to 37.9mph from the WSW as at 8am this morning.

Last night was warm and muggy and the overnight minimum temperature was 13.1°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 13°C at Edinburgh Airport and 12.7°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am this morning was 15.4°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 15°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 16.2°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh so today is already warmer than yesterday.

Yet another pathetic cloudy Sunday. Temp 16.8C

It's just the same weather every day. Mostly cloudy, some sun, a bit of light rain/drizzle, temperatures around the average of 16C.

Truly one of the most boring months of all time

The more persistent rain from overnight may well have cleared away, but we still have some heavy showers ongoing and indeed, it is raining quite heavily at the moment as I write. There has been a few sunny intervals at times as well, but a total of just 42 minutes of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 12 noon.

On the other hand, today's rainfall totals have now increased to 4.0 mm at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 2.4 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh. Since it is still raining as I write though, these are clearly not going to be today's final totals in the end.

It's not quite as windy though as it was earlier on, but it is rather blustery nevertheless with the wind at Edinburgh Gogarbank still gusting up to 29.8mph from the WSW.

The temperature hasn't changed all that much since this morning and at 12 noon, the temperature was 15.6°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 15°C at Edinburgh Airport and 15.8°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

A lovely day with good sunshine and variable cloud. 20.3 C & 72% with a brisk SW breeze providing some freshness to things.

No complaints from me on this one.  Gave the garden the once over in shorts & T shirt and felt comfortably warm anyway.

A bit better here than what it was earlier on.

There's still a lot of cloud around, but it's now much drier for now with a few more in the way of sunny intervals at times. However, this has resulted in a total of just 1.2 hours of sunshine being recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 4pm this afternoon.

Those lunchtime showers have also increased today's rainfall so far as at 4pm this afternoon to 5.8 mm at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 4.2 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

It's still windy as well with the wind at Edinburgh Gogarbank still gusting up to 32.3mph from the west as at 4pm this afternoon.

Today's maximum temperature so far was reached quite early this morning and was 15.8°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 16°C at Edinburgh Airport and 16.2°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 4pm this afternoon was 14.1°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 14°C at Edinburgh Airport and 14.6°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
