Believe it or not, I've actually slept in this morning and only just woke up (that is these darker autumn mornings starting to have an effect already but luckily, it is the weekend which means that it doesn't actually matter in this case).
This clearly doesn't make any difference to what I am reporting either because this morning has once again, started off on the usual cloudy note and although the Sun is trying hard to be seen through a veil of medium level cloud, there is still nothing in the way of sunshine which has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 9am this morning.
Last night's overnight minimum temperature was 7.3°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 5°C at Edinburgh Airport and 5.7°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
Meanwhile, the temperature at 9am this morning was 9.9°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 9°C at Edinburgh Airport and 9.8°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
