Meanwhile, the temperature at midnight was 9.5°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 10°C at Edinburgh Airport and 10.4°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

7.4 C with calm condx. Cloud has moved in - so the temp. has started to rise from a low of 7.2 C a short while ago. Pressure @ 1023mb.

I saw quite a nice sunrise this morning (these are getting later all the time as the mornings continue to draw in, so I don't need to be up so early for that now) and although I have seen the odd appearance by the Sun, it is mostly cloudy with nothing in the way of sunshine having been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank.

Last night's overnight minimum temperature was 9.9°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 9°C at Edinburgh Airport and 10.4°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am this morning was 10.6°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 10°C at Edinburgh Airport and 11.1°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Windy and mostly cloudy just now with only the occasional bright or sunny interval.

As at 12 noon, a total of just 42 minutes of sunshine was recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank along with a temperature of around 14°C and winds gusting up to 32.3mph from the WSW.

There was a few sunny intervals a short while ago, this afternoon has mostly just been yet another boring grey nothingness which has resulted in a total of just 1.1 hours of sunshine being recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 4pm this afternoon.

Today's maximum temperatures so far as at 4pm this afternoon was 14.0°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 14°C at Edinburgh Airport and 14.8°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh. However, the temperatures has crept up slightly once again during the last hour or so, so those might not end up being today's final maximum temperatures in the end.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 4pm this afternoon was 13.6°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 14°C at Edinburgh Airport and 13.8°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Here in Edinburgh, the September borefest goes on as this afternoon and early evening brought us yet more constant grey skies and very little in the way of sunshine (and certainly, no rain yet again). This means that in the end, a total of just 1.3 hours of sunshine was recorded for today at Edinburgh Gogarbank which is rather disappointing even for this time of year.

I can report that today's maximum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank eventually reached 14.3°C. For the other two stations though, the maximum temperature temperature was the same as what I reported in my last post on this thread at just before tea-time.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8pm this evening was 12.0°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 12°C at Edinburgh Airport and 12.6°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
