After the bright and sunny weather which we had at this time yesterday, today is a case of normal service resumed once again as far as this summer (and especially, this month) is concerned as we are back to dull and overcast skies with nothing in the way of sunshine having been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 8am this morning.

Last night's overnight minimum temperature was 12.0°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 11°C at Edinburgh Airport and 12.1°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am this morning was 12.7°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 13°C at Edinburgh Airport and 12.8°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

British (more precisely Welsh) weather has arrived in South Burgundy today after 31C yesterday. Breezy, persistent light rain, mist on the hilltops, muddy puddles everywhere and of course all to coincide with a newspaper headline about water restrictions. 19C.

Lights on in the house, and I even briefly flirted with the idea of not wearing shorts when I got up.
