They’re playing 1990s rave on the sound system and I’m feeling all nostalgic for 1995. Same weather, but I was 23 years younger and this weekend I was off to watch Blur and R.E.M. at Milton Keynes bowl.

21C cloudy with the very occasional hazy sunshine. Just poking through a bit more now. Feel like we have gone off the rails now this summer. Most days are now more disappointing than the forecast. People saying "breakdown...what breakdown?" . Well it's up here!

It's still been a firmly warmer than average week here, but most days have been cloudier than forecast.
I hope the heat can reach up here next week but I'm not holding out much hope. This summer however good it's been will not be remembered as fondly by me if we can't even exceed 30C. In 1995 we exceeded 30C 8 times.
