In the end, we didn't even get that completely sunny evening which I was hoping for, and we didn't even get a single completely sunny hour during the entire day. What happened instead, was that the clouds built up yet again, thus bringing us into yet another permacast hell with yet more constant grey skies.

The end result of this is that the rather disappointing total of just 2.0 hours of sunshine was recorded for today in the end at Edinburgh Gogarbank which is rather pathetic for this time of year!!

Having said that though, we can't really complain too much about that since this has been a really remarkable month up until now in terms of sunshine totals, and it is still possible for this month to end up being our sunniest July on record as a result, in addition to being our driest July on record since we are now approaching the end of day 20 of the latest official absolute drought at both Edinburgh Gogarbank and the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

I don't time to hang around waiting for the temperature data for the botanic gardens in Edinburgh to come through (that still hasn't happened as I write), so I will just finish by saying that the temperature at 10pm was around the 16ºC mark.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
